Alex Aaby is an Instrumentalist (specializing in Saxophone) and singer songwriter from the Seattle area originally. Alex currently spends a majority of his time studying at NYU, where he is on a full ride scholarship, and performing regularly in New York City. He takes inspiration from Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Gloria Gaynor, Led Zeppelin, John Coltrane, Vulfpeck etc. While studying in New York City Alex has had the opportunity to perform alongside and be mentored by many talented professionals including Augie Bello, Arthur Lipner, Melissa Aldana, Lenny Pickett, Benny Bennack III, and many more. As a leader performing along with incredibly talented vocalist Avery Morgan Franks his band performed at venues like Chelsea Music Hall, The Delancy, Bowery Electric, Heaven Can Wait, Berlin Under A etc. He enjoyed studying with many talented teachers at NYU, including renowned recording artist Micheal Wolff, in addition to Village Vanguard member Billy Drewes and musician Brad Shepik.

Hello! My name is John, and I am a Music Educator and Clarinetist from Long Island, NY! I am graduating from the Crane School of Music this year with a BM in Music Education and a BM in Music Theory, with a concentration in Clarinet Performance. I am most passionate about sharing the many joys and lessons that music can bring to the world, and how beneficial performing and studying music can be to the individual! Hi! My name's Gabby Maresco, Any Pronouns work for me, and I'm a Singer, Actor, Songwriter, Content Creator, and Educator from New York! I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor of Music in Music Education for Vocal studies, with a Vocal Performance Certificate, and a Musical Theatre minor at the Crane School of Music. I'm committed to exploring a wide range of performance styles so I may be a dynamic creator, avid learner, and adaptable performer. I've privately studied Classical, Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Contemporary Voice, and actively perform within said genres. Notable Teachers include Sopranos Margaret Chalker and Nancy Ferretti. I've performed in numerous Musicals, Operas, and Showcases with award winning companies such as the Crane Opera Ensemble, Madstop Record Label, and Stage74. I've performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, the 92nd Street Y, and numerous others with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra Choirs of New York.

I graduated from James Madison University (Harrisonburg, VA) in May 2022 and received my B.M. in Music Industry and a minor in Music and Human Services. Originally from Bristol, VA, I have been playing the trumpet for 12 years, as well as playing the cornet and flugelhorn for four years while attending JMU. I was a member of North America's premier brass band, the James Madison University Brass Band from 2018-2022, and traveled with the band Summer 2022 to compete at the World Music Contest in Kerkrade, NL. Fall 2022, I will be starting my Masters degree in Music Therapy at Texas Woman's University (Denton, TX). It is very important to me, as a teacher, to provide students with the knowledge to not only be great trumpet players, but great musicians. During lessons, I plan to teach not only about playing the trumpet, but also how to combine being a musician and health & wellness.

Hello! My name is Tony Robb, I am currently a senior at Bethany College working towards my bachelor's degree in music. When I am not teaching, I sing bass for the Bethany College Oratorio Society. I sing baritone for the Bethany College Concert Choir as well. I have experience in teaching and singing classical and musical theater vocal styles. I am knowledgeable in IPA, which is the international phonetic alphabet. IPA will help students learn how to pronounce different foreign languages. Through IPA, I have learned to pronounce seven different languages. My primary focus is teaching voice lessons. I specialize in teaching tenor, bass, and baritone voices; however, I am willing to teach other voices. I enjoy teaching voice lessons because I want to see students reach their full potential in music and want every student to reach their goals. Hope to see you in class!

I am a piano and theory teacher of just over two years, with experience in teaching beginner-intermediate level students from ages 6-20 years old. I provide personalized enthusiastic lessons which are best tailored to fit my individual students' needs, goals, and skills. I have over 10 years of private training in keyboard and 5 years of theory, composition, and ear training experience, currently enrolled for my second year at UCSC pursuing a bachelor's in Jazz and Spontaneous Composition with a keyboard emphasis. I have played as an accompaniment for strings ensembles, and am currently part of a Jazz Band at UCSC, well versed in Jazz, Classical, Pop, Blues, and modern styles. I understand that musical goals and aspirations vary from person to person, but my dedication to reaching helping you reach those goals does not. I have utmost patience for beginners, and believe in putting a healthy amount of pressure on those who have foundational skills to keep improving.

I graduated in Classical Composition in Brazil (where I was born and raised), then I moved to Athens (Georgia) in 2021, since then I did a Master’s Degree in Music Performance - double bass, and I pursuing my Doctoral Degree also in Performance (double bass). In Brazil, I graduated also in electric bass that I play since my 9 years old. I teach for 12 years now double bass, electric bass, and music theory passing through all kinds of students (7 to 80 years old) and purposes (hobby, semi-profisseonal, and professional).

I have been teaching for my entire professional life, after a very brief career as a touring composer/performer. I regard myself as self-taught in spite of my many years of education: I never really started learning how and what to teach until I actually was doing it! I found it a fascinating experience and I am still learning. Some of the courses I taught at the San Francisco Conservatory are Music Composition, Harmony, Counterpoint (18th C.), The Music of Stravinsky, Early Music of Alban Berg, Sonata Forms, Twentieth Century Music, German Song, 18th - 20th Centuries, "Architectonics": experiments in compositional processes from the Middle Ages to the present; and Electronic Music: history, literature, and practice; social roles of electronic music (advertising, propaganda, and music as medicine); Electronic Music: studio techniques.
