Hello everyone! I am currently a student at Wayne State College pursuing my degrees in Psychology and Music Performance with a vocal emphasis. I have been a musician since I could speak and teaching privately is my passion! I will be going to graduate school to receive my degree in Music Therapy with specializations in physical and mental disabilities. I play 15 instruments and am involved in mens choir (I sing Tenor I), concert choir (I sing Alto I), Chamber Choir (I sing Alto II and Tenor II), and other ensembles such as mariachi and jazz band! Hello! My name is Júlia Coelho and I offer courses in voice, piano, theory, and music composition. If you are looking for a skill-appropriate course to either start or improve on your current musical skills/technique/instrument, let me guide you through that process! Other than applied lessons and undergraduate music history classes at UNT, I also teach in-person music group classes children and adolescents. In addition, I perform regularly in a variety of musical event, from weekly services, to concerts, recitals, weddings, etc., often accompanying my singing with the Gothic harp, psaltery, piano, or keyboard. Brooke R.
Brooke has been an active musician for 20 years, exercising her practice through solo and group performance, composition, recording and individual instruction. She is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in trumpet, voice, guitar and piano. As a singer she leads her own indie-rock band project, The Rookery, sings with 60’s soul group, Jaws of Brooklyn, and has sung with Americana-soul band, Glass Beaches. As a trumpet player, Brooke has performed with Seattle Sounder's pep band, Soundwave, and is currently lead trumpet for the soul rock band, Fast Nasties. Brooke is an avid film composer, having worked in genres of comedy, documentaries, mockumentaries, inspirational, drama, action and adventure. She hopes her teaching experience with every student of hers is a source of color, joy and love in their lives.
