How to View a Teacher's Availability Before Booking
Before you commit to booking a lesson, you can browse a teacher's availability calendar to see which days and times they have open. This helps you find a teacher whose schedule aligns with yours.
Where to Find the Availability Calendar
There are two ways to access a teacher's availability:
- From the teacher's profile page — look for the "View availability" link or button near the booking section.
- From a course page — if you are browsing a specific course, the availability link is listed alongside the teacher's details.
Both paths take you to the same calendar view.
Reading the Calendar
The availability calendar shows the teacher's open time slots for upcoming weeks. Each slot represents a window when the teacher is free to take a lesson.
- Use the arrows to navigate between weeks.
- Available slots are highlighted — unavailable times are left blank.
- Choose your lesson duration from the dropdown (for non-trial lessons), then click or tap an available slot to start booking that time.
Keep in mind that availability can change at any time. A slot you see now could be taken by another student, so book promptly when you find a time that works.
What to Do Next
Once you find a time that fits your schedule, you can proceed directly to book a trial lesson or, if you have already completed a trial, set up recurring lessons.
If none of the available times work for you, check back later — teachers frequently update their schedules. You can also browse other teachers who teach the same instrument.
Tips
- Check availability across multiple teachers to compare schedules before deciding.
- Teachers in different time zones may offer slots that are convenient for early morning or late evening practice.
- Availability does not guarantee a booking — confirm and pay to lock in your slot.
