Using the AI Notation Editor

Tissimo's AI notation editor lets you view, edit, and enhance MusicXML music scores directly in your browser. It combines standard notation rendering with AI-powered tools that can help you complete, harmonize, and correct your music.

Opening the Editor

You can access the AI notation editor from two places:

  • Sheet library — open any saved score from your personal sheet library.
  • Classroom — launch the editor during a lesson to work on notation with your student in real time.

Working with Notation

The editor renders standard music notation from MusicXML files. You can view and work with:

  • Standard treble and bass clef notation.
  • Multi-voice parts displayed on the same or separate staves.
  • Key signatures, time signatures, dynamics, and articulations.

Navigate through the score by scrolling or using page controls. Zoom in and out to focus on specific passages.

AI-Powered Tools

The editor includes several AI features to assist with your composition and arrangement work:

  • Auto-completion — the AI can suggest how to continue a melodic or harmonic passage based on what you have written so far.
  • Harmonization — provide a melody line and the AI suggests accompanying harmony parts.
  • Error correction — the AI scans your notation for common mistakes such as incorrect rhythmic values or enharmonic inconsistencies and suggests fixes.

Saving and Sharing

Your edits are saved to your sheet library. Scores can be shared with your teacher or student and accessed during lessons through the classroom toolbar.
