Unsuccessful Trial Lessons

If a student is not satisfied after a 30-minute introductory trial lesson, Tissimo will refund the lesson credit so the student can book a trial with a different teacher.

What Happens After an Unsuccessful Trial

  1. Student reports the trial as unsatisfactory within 72 hours of the lesson.
  2. Tissimo automatically checks that the request is eligible.
  3. If eligible, credit is refunded to the student's account. See How Refunds Work for details on timing.
  4. Student can use the credit to book a new trial with another teacher via Music Teachers.

Protections in Place

  • Trials are capped at 30 minutes.
  • Tissimo tracks and limits trial refunds per student (maximum of 3).
  • Students who abuse the guarantee are banned from the platform.

For Teachers

Teachers do not receive earnings for a refunded trial, but a single unsuccessful trial carries no further penalty. Teachers on Tier 1 and above can opt out of the satisfaction guarantee in Account Settings → Teaching Policies; for new (Tier 0) teachers the guarantee is always enabled. See also Trial Satisfaction Guarantee Settings for configuration options and Booking Your First Trial Lesson to understand the student experience.
