Understanding Bonus Payouts

In addition to your base tier rate, Tissimo offers two types of bonuses that can increase your effective payout percentage. These bonuses reward loyalty and premium pricing — and they stack on top of each other.

Bonus Type 1: Same-Student Loyalty Bonus

The loyalty bonus rewards you for building long-term relationships with your students.

  • How it works: You earn an additional +0.25% for every 10 lessons completed with the same student.
  • Maximum bonus: +3% (reached after 120 lessons with the same student).
  • The count is per student — separate students each have their own lesson count.

For example, if you've completed 40 lessons with a student, you earn a +1% loyalty bonus for that student's lessons.

Bonus Type 2: Price Bonus

The price bonus rewards teachers who set a higher course price.

  • How it works: You earn an additional +0.25% for every $5 your course price exceeds $50.
  • Maximum bonus: +5% (reached when your course price is $150 or more).

For example, if your course price is $70 (which is $20 above $50), you earn a +1% price bonus.

How Bonuses Stack

Both bonuses are added on top of your tier base rate. Here's a worked example:

  • Tier: T2 — base rate of 71%
  • Loyalty bonus: 120 lessons with a student → +3%
  • Price bonus: Course price $90 (= $40 above $50) → +2%
  • Effective payout rate: 71% + 3% + 2% = 76%

Your effective rate is shown on each lesson's payout receipt so you can see exactly how it was calculated.

Where Bonuses Appear

Bonuses are reflected in your net payout amount on each lesson receipt. Your lesson receipts show the tier rate, any applicable bonuses, and the resulting effective rate so you have full transparency.

Bonuses are calculated automatically — there's nothing you need to do to claim them.
