Student Notes

Student Notes let you keep a running record of observations, goals, and progress for each individual student — separate from the notes you take during a specific lesson.

Accessing Student Notes

  1. Navigate to the Students page and open a student's row.
  2. On the Student Detail page, click View all student notes.
  3. This opens the Student Notes page with that student pre-selected.

Student Notes vs. Lesson Notes

It is important to understand the difference between the two note types:

  • Lesson Notes — tied to a specific lesson session. Use these to record what was covered, what went well, and what to revisit next time.
  • Student Notes — tied to the student overall. Use these for longer-term observations such as learning goals, recurring challenges, or general progress milestones.

Next Steps

  • To create a new student note, see the Create Student Notes article.
  • To organise or find notes faster, see Sort Student Notes.
