Playback and Exporting Sheet Music

Tissimo includes a built-in audio player that brings your sheet music to life. You can listen to your scores, loop tricky sections for focused practice, adjust the tempo, and export your work as MusicXML or PDF.

Playing Back a Score

  1. Open a score in the notation editor or the sheet music viewer.
  2. Click the Play button in the player toolbar.
  3. The playback cursor moves across the score, highlighting each note as it sounds.
  4. Click Pause to stop playback, or Stop to return to the beginning.

Adjusting Tempo

Use the BPM slider to speed up or slow down playback. This is especially useful for practice — start at a slower tempo and gradually increase as you build confidence with a passage. The current BPM value is displayed next to the slider.

Looping Sections

To practise a specific section on repeat:

  1. Select the start and end points of the section you want to loop.
  2. Enable the Loop toggle.
  3. Press Play. The player repeats the selected section until you turn off the loop or press stop.

Looping is ideal for drilling difficult measures without having to manually restart each time.

Exporting as MusicXML

Click Export and choose MusicXML to download your score in the standard MusicXML format. This file can be opened in other music notation software such as MuseScore, Finale, or Sibelius.

Exporting as PDF

Choose Export as PDF to generate a print-ready version of your score. The PDF preserves the layout exactly as it appears on screen. You can print it directly or share it with others.

For editing the score before export, see Creating and Editing Music Notation.
