Your Lessons Page — A Complete Guide

Your Lessons page is where you keep track of every lesson with your teachers. Instead of a list of tabs, it is built around a monthly calendar with a courses sidebar, a lesson list for the month, and a details panel — so you can move between months, switch courses, and open any lesson to see its full information, join it, cancel it, or read its notes.

Finding the Lessons Page

Log in to your Tissimo account and select Lessons from the main navigation. On a wide screen the page shows three areas side by side; on a phone the same areas stack, and tapping a lesson opens its details full-screen. For a shorter tour of the page, see Student Lessons Page Overview.

How the Page Is Organized

  • Courses sidebar — on the left, under a Courses heading. Each course you have with a teacher is listed here, and a dropdown lets you switch between Active, All courses, and Hidden. Select a course to filter the lesson list to just that course, or choose All courses to see everything together.
  • Lesson list — in the middle, showing the lessons for the month you are viewing. Each entry shows the instrument, the lesson number, and the date and time in your selected time zone.
  • Details panel — on the right, showing the full information for whichever lesson you have selected, along with its action buttons.

Moving Between Months and Time Zones

The lesson list is organized one month at a time. Use the calendar's back and forward arrows to move to a different month — the list reloads to show that month's lessons. The page opens on the month that contains your next upcoming lesson, so you usually land right on it.

Times are shown in your local time zone by default. Use the time-zone dropdown (labeled Local time) beside the calendar to view your lessons in a different zone if you prefer.

Finding Upcoming and Past Lessons

There are no separate "Upcoming" and "Past" tabs. Instead, the list for each month opens at your next upcoming lesson and continues forward. To reveal the lessons that already took place earlier in the same month, select Earlier this month. To see lessons from other months, move the calendar back or forward. When the lesson currently in view isn't your soonest one, a Next link appears beside the course title to jump straight to your next upcoming lesson.

What the Labels Mean

As you scan the list and open lessons, you may see these labels:

  • Next lesson — marks your soonest upcoming lesson in the details panel.
  • Trial — tags a trial lesson on its card in the list.
  • Canceled — the lesson was cancelled. The details panel then shows whether your credits were refunded or not, based on your teacher's cancellation policy.
  • Rate — appears on a completed lesson's card for 72 hours after it ends, so you can rate the session. See Rating a Lesson After It Ends.

What the Details Panel Shows

Select any lesson in the list to open its details on the right. The panel shows:

  • Course title — with a View details link to the course.
  • Teacher — the teacher's name and photo; selecting it opens their profile.
  • Date — the full date of the lesson.
  • Time — the start and end time, with your time zone.
  • Duration — how long the lesson runs.

Depending on the lesson, the panel also shows a Notes icon button and the action buttons described below.

Joining a Lesson

When it's time for your lesson, open it in the details panel and select Join. This opens Tissimo's built-in virtual classroom in your browser — no separate app or download needed. The Join button becomes available 10 minutes before the scheduled start time and stays available until shortly after the lesson ends. If it isn't there yet, your lesson is more than 10 minutes away. For a full walkthrough, see How to Join a Lesson.

Cancelling a Lesson

To cancel an upcoming lesson, open it in the details panel and select Cancel. A confirmation window appears where you review the details and select Cancel lesson to confirm. Whether your credits are refunded depends on how much notice you give and your teacher's cancellation policy. For the full policy, see Cancel an Upcoming Lesson.

Rescheduling a Lesson

If your teacher allows rescheduling, a Reschedule button appears in the details panel for upcoming lessons. Selecting it takes you into the booking flow, where you pick a new day and time from your teacher's availability. A lesson can be rescheduled up to three times; after that the button appears disabled. If you don't see a Reschedule button, the reschedule window for that lesson has passed. For details, see How to Reschedule a Lesson.

Rating a Lesson

After a lesson finishes, a Rate button appears on that lesson's card in the list for 72 hours. Select it to give the session a star rating and an optional comment. Your feedback goes to Tissimo and your teacher, and helps keep teaching quality high. Learn more in Rating a Lesson After It Ends.

Reading Lesson Notes

If your teacher shared notes, you can read them right from the Lessons page. Open the lesson in the details panel and select the Notes icon button near the top of the panel. The Notes panel opens with two tabs: Lesson (notes your teacher shared) and My notes (your own private notes). Notes are kept indefinitely, so you can revisit them any time. For more, see Accessing Your Lesson Notes as a Student.

Recurring Lessons

If your teacher offers weekly recurring lessons and you've completed a trial with them, a Set up recurring lessons button appears above the lesson list for that course. Once you have an active series, a Manage recurring lessons link takes you to a dedicated page where you can pause, reschedule the series, or cancel it. To get started, see Setting Up Recurring Weekly Lessons, and to change or stop a series, see Cancelling or Modifying a Recurring Lesson.

Where to Find Receipts

Payment receipts are not shown on the Lessons page. To review what you were charged for a lesson, open your Transaction History in Settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I see a Join button for my upcoming lesson?

The Join button only appears 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. If your lesson should be starting and the button still isn't there, try refreshing the page.

Where did my past lessons go?

Past lessons stay in the same monthly list as your upcoming ones. Select Earlier this month to reveal earlier lessons in the current month, or use the calendar arrows to move to a previous month.

Can I reschedule from the Lessons page?

Yes, when your teacher allows it. Open the lesson and select Reschedule in the details panel to pick a new time. If the button isn't shown, the reschedule window has passed or the lesson has reached its limit of three reschedules.
