Understanding Lesson Packages and Hour Bundles
Instead of paying for lessons one at a time, you can purchase a bundle of lesson hours and load them into your course balance. This gives you more value per hour and fewer interruptions to your learning schedule.
How Lesson Packages Work
When you purchase a lesson package (also called an hour bundle), you're buying a set number of lesson hours in advance. These hours are added to your course balance for a specific teacher's course and are drawn from each time a lesson occurs. For more on how course balances work, see course balance and auto-refill.
For recurring lessons, your course balance is automatically charged before each weekly lesson — the hours in your bundle cover those charges so you don't need to top up manually after every session.
Available Bundle Sizes
Tissimo offers several bundle sizes to suit different commitment levels:
- Single hour — pay per lesson, no bundle
- Small bundle — 5 hours
- Medium bundle — 10 or 15 hours
- Large bundle — 20 hours
Exact bundle options available to you are shown during checkout when you're setting up or topping up a course.
Pricing Benefits of Bundles
Purchasing a larger bundle typically offers a better effective rate per hour compared to buying hours individually. The more hours in the bundle, the greater the saving. This makes bundles especially worthwhile if you're committed to regular weekly lessons over several months.
How Bundle Hours Are Used
Once you purchase a bundle:
- The hours are deposited into your course balance for that specific course.
- Each lesson deducts the appropriate number of hours (or fraction of an hour) from your balance.
- You can check your remaining balance at any time from the Lessons page or course detail view.
- When your balance runs low, you'll receive a notification to top up so your recurring lessons can continue without interruption.
