Leaving a Review After Your Lessons

Your feedback matters. Leaving a review helps other students find teachers who are a great fit, and it helps teachers understand what they are doing well and where they can improve.

How to Leave a Review

Course reviews are written from the course's page:

  1. Open the page of the course you are taking.
  2. Scroll to the reviews area and click Write review.
  3. Select a star rating from 1 to 5.
  4. Optionally add a title (10–50 characters) and a written review (100–500 characters) describing your experience — what you liked, what stood out, or any suggestions.
  5. Submit your review.

The Write review option becomes available once you have completed at least 5 lessons in the course. The quick rating prompt that appears right after a lesson ends is separate, private feedback — see Rating a Lesson After It Ends.

What Makes a Helpful Review

A few sentences go a long way. Here are tips for writing a useful review:

  • Be specific — mention what the teacher did well, such as clear explanations, patience, or engaging exercises.
  • Share your context — noting your skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) helps other students gauge relevance.
  • Be constructive — if something could be improved, frame it as a suggestion rather than a complaint.
  • Keep it honest — authentic reviews are the most valuable for the community.

Where Reviews Appear

Your review appears publicly on the course's page. Other students browsing the platform can read it when deciding whether to book a trial lesson. Teachers can also respond to reviews, so you may see a reply from your teacher.

Good to Know

  • You can leave one review per course.
  • Reviews are tied to your account and cannot be posted anonymously.
  • Tissimo moderates reviews to ensure they meet community guidelines.
