Controlling Your Profile Visibility

There are times when you do not want new students to find or enroll in your courses — whether you are taking a vacation, your schedule is fully booked, or you simply need a break. Tissimo lets you hide your profile from student searches without losing your account, reviews, or existing lesson history.

Hidden Profile vs Deactivated Account

These are two very different actions:

• Hidden profile: Your profile is removed from search results and your profile page is no longer viewable. Your account remains active, your data is preserved, and your existing enrolled students can still attend their scheduled lessons. You can make your profile visible again at any time.
• Deactivated account: Your account is closed. Existing lessons are cancelled, enrolled students are notified and refunded, and your profile and history are removed. This action is much harder to reverse — contact Tissimo support if you want to reactivate. See the guide on deleting your account for full details.

In most cases, hiding your profile is the right choice. Only deactivate if you intend to leave the platform permanently.

How to Hide Your Profile

1. Go to your Teacher Dashboard.
2. Click Settings in the left-hand menu.
3. Open the Teaching policies section.
4. Find the Visible on Tissimo toggle and switch it off. This also switches off the Visible to World toggle, which controls whether logged-out visitors can see your profile.
5. Click Save.

Your profile is removed from search results within a few minutes. Direct links to your profile will show a page-not-found message.

How to Make Your Profile Visible Again

Follow the same steps and switch the Visible on Tissimo toggle back on — along with Visible to World if you want logged-out visitors to see your profile. Your profile reappears in search results almost immediately and students can book lessons again.

How Existing Students Are Affected

Hiding your profile has no effect on your existing students. They can still:

• Access the Tissimo classroom and attend scheduled lessons.
• Message you through Tissimo Messaging.
• View their lesson history and upcoming bookings.

New bookings from existing students are also allowed — hiding your profile only blocks new students who have not previously enrolled with you from discovering or booking your courses.

Common Reasons to Hide Your Profile

• You are going on vacation and will not be available for lessons.
• Your schedule is fully booked and you cannot take new students right now.
• You are updating your courses and want to wait until they are ready before relaunching.
