Hello, I'm Devin! I have been playing the cello for 15 years now, and am currently earning my graduate degree in Cello Performance. In the past few years, and especially over the pandemic, I really grew my passion for teaching cello, and now it is one of my favorite aspects of being a professional musician. Music education and sharing knowledge with others is so incredibly fulfilling and important, and I love how this platform has made it so much more accessible to anyone who is interested in cello! I look forward to meeting you and learning together!

My approach to singing and performing goes beyond necessary technique. It is also about finding and sharing your truth. It is about perspective, memory, and the presentation of the undeniable self. Hello! My name is Katie and my passion is helping people succeed, whatever that means to them. I have been a percussionist for 11 years, I'm a senior at Drake University studying Music Education and Percussion Performance. I have been teaching for 3 years: private lessons, high school drumline and percussion ensemble, and elementary school bucket drumming. I also perform professionally in the Des Moines area. I’ve won performance awards, but I’m most proud of the success of my students. My teaching philosophy prioritizes self-care and well as technical and musical improvement, and I love to help students manage performance anxiety, auditions, and time management. Please message me and/or book a trial lesson if you’re at all curious about percussion lessons! I tailor lessons to each student based on your personal goals and interests, but I have a standard curriculum if you don’t know where to start. I’m happy to take beginners through advanced high-schoolers.

I started playing the violin at the age of 7 at a small arts school in Romania. Once my family and I moved to the US, I continued my studies and earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Baylor University followed by a Master's degree in Violin Performance. I guess you can say I am really dedicated to this craft and I am highly qualified to teach you how to play well while also enjoying it.

I have always worn many hats in my 30+ years of musical experience. From prog metal to jazz, classical to show tunes, I've played and worked in just about every guitar-related genre. In addition to my practical experience I have a BA in music and have taught and tutored in various capacities, from beginner guitar to college-level music theory. I'm also a published songwriter and composer and I have recorded and released several hundred songs. Bringing out a student's creativity is always one of my main goals when teaching.

Joshua was born in Minnesota, and learned music starting at a young age. He took piano lessons and sang with the North Star Boys' Choir, where he went to the World Choir Games and won a silver and a bronze medal. After his voice changed, he shifted his focus to saxophone, which he played in several musical productions and a concert band while in high school. He went to college at DigiPen in Washington state, where he learned about the more technical side of music while refining his skill in classical and jazz saxophone performance. He currently plays saxophone for his church's worship group and teaches Digital Music with Ableton through IdTech.
