I graduated in Classical Composition in Brazil (where I was born and raised), then I moved to Athens (Georgia) in 2021, since then I did a Master’s Degree in Music Performance - double bass, and I pursuing my Doctoral Degree also in Performance (double bass). In Brazil, I graduated also in electric bass that I play since my 9 years old. I teach for 12 years now double bass, electric bass, and music theory passing through all kinds of students (7 to 80 years old) and purposes (hobby, semi-profisseonal, and professional).

Guitarist, composer and producer Rod Ferreira has performed across the USA sharing the stage with lots of talented musicians. He has recorded several albums and enjoys teaching musicians of all ages and styles. While living in Brazil he earned several diplomas in piano, harmonica, bass, music theory and guitar. Graduated with a bachelor's degree in music from the University of North Dakota he started to teach guitar at several music schools and studios which lead him to write three guitar guides.

I'm a guitarist, singer, songwriter and performer. I've been playing music for 45 years and teaching private and group lessons since 2004. I teach guitar, ukulele, beginning electric bass, beginning piano, voice and songwriting. I work with a lot of kids (as well as adults) and beginners. I'm extremely patient, and I enjoy getting brand new students up and running with proper techniques and good habits. The styles I teach are: rock (classic, indie, punk) folk, pop, reggae/ska funk, blues, r&b, country, some finger-picking, and a bit of classical. I can teach you any song you want to play whether it's rap, rock hip-hop or a piano piece. I will find a way to do it and make it fun. 😊 I give my students weekly assignments and enjoy watching them learn and grow. I love teaching, music, and sharing my gifts with others. Christian is a Brooklyn based professional musician and instructor from Long Island, NY. Through his studies he's channeled his passion for pedagogy, jazz, classical music, and experience teaching contemporary music to gain a multifaceted understanding of music and his instruments of choice. As an instructor his goal is to help students embody a sense of curiosity and freedom to be their best uninhibited musical self. Through individualized lesson plans and an understanding of higher learning best practices the students can expect to follow their interests to their goals and beyond.

I've gained a wealth of insight and knowledge into the workings of music, bands, and the music industry, and love sharing stories about my experiences and passing all of the knowledge I've gained along to my students. I get a kick out of working with kids, and enjoy the challenges of working with more experienced adult students as well. I love to make people laugh and outside of music I'm somewhat of a foodie, I'm addicted to F1 racing, I'm an oil painter, and I love being outside.

I have always worn many hats in my 30+ years of musical experience. From prog metal to jazz, classical to show tunes, I've played and worked in just about every guitar-related genre. In addition to my practical experience I have a BA in music and have taught and tutored in various capacities, from beginner guitar to college-level music theory. I'm also a published songwriter and composer and I have recorded and released several hundred songs. Bringing out a student's creativity is always one of my main goals when teaching.
