Beginner Piano for Young Learners (8-10 years old)

This Primer Level course will introduce the young beginner to practical ideas and skills necessary for playing piano, including (but not necessarily limited to): Note-reading (first using a simplified

notation system, and then using the Grand Staff), Technique, Artistry, Rhythm, Repertoire, Sightreading, Ear Training, Basic Music Theory, and idiomatic concepts such as fingering, dynamic control, pedaling, and hand shifts. Returning/continuing students will begin with books that are most suitable to their current level of experience and training (may be higher than the Primer Level).
