About me

🥥 Victor Cui (b. 1998) creates intimate and introspective music, channeling private feelings and thoughts. Victor’s music encourages a listening experience in solitude, not necessarily loneliness in the sense of physical seclusion, but in a way that invites empathy, as a result of reflection, which must come from the concentration of the intellect. 🥥A recipient of the Olga and Paul Menn Foundation Prizes for his saxophone quartet Centesima Lucis, Victor has collaborated with many acclaimed performers/groups, such as pianist Claire Longendyke, Spektral Quartet, Duo Axis, and ~Nois. He has participated in the Lake George Music Festival (2020), the CCRMA SuperCollider Summer Workshop at Stanford University (2021), and the Aspen Music Festival (2022). 🥥 As a singer, Victor studied voice with Evan Bravos, Patrice Michaels, and Jeff Ray. He is now a tenor at the prestigious Peabody NEXT ensemble.
