About me

Greetings! my name is Sophia Sweet and I am one of Tissimo's current music teachers. I am currently a senior music major at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi finishing my bachelors in cello performance with a minor in music industry. I have been a cellist the last 9 years and am currently studying under the direction of Dr. Carrie Pierce as both her primary student of the last 4 years but also as the current full scholarship cellist within string quartet she directs. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of learning music theory under the direction of Dr. Susan de Ghize for the past 4 years, who has worked as both my educator and my supervisor over my previous year as the supplemental instructor for levels II-IV of music theory and ear training at the university. I am thrilled to work with you to ensure that all of your musical ideas come to life.
