About me

Hi! I'm Grant. I've been a musician since I was six years old and have taught music since I was 14. I am especially interested in jazz, but I enjoy and have played in a multitude of styles. I am a senior at Indiana University majoring in philosophy and minoring in jazz studies and Spanish. I have worked closely with IU's Jacobs School of Music, taking classes that have enhanced my theoretical music knowledge and playing in ensembles that have been invaluable in teaching me about musical instinct and general musicianship. I teach on a number of instruments and several different topics, ranging from beginner theory and technique to advanced harmony and improvisation.
