About me
Dongyue Gao is a Young performer in the United States and China. He began studying Clarinet at the age of 8 and studying saxophone at age 11. Golden Metal of National Youth Music and Dance TV Competition in China(2011), Golden Metal of Hong Kong International Youth Musical Instrument Competition (2011), First Graduate Solo Recital at the University of Shaoxing (2013). He studied for a master’s degree in music performance at South Oregon University and worked as Dr. Rhett Bender’s teaching assistant and the orchestra rehearsals during his master’s degree (2014). Yamaha International Saxophone Quartet Competition Second Prize (2015) Took master classes from Germany, France, Japan, and the United States. There are two solo recitals during my master’s degree. He worked at the University of Shaoxing from 2017-2019. DMA candidates learn from Dr. Eric M. Nestler at UNT (2020). Currently, he is studying wind conducting with Dr. Andrew Trachsel.
