Hello! My name is Connor Davis. I am a current sophomore at New York University majoring in Music Technology and Computer Science. I have been playing guitar for over 12 years, and have a lot of experience mixing/mastering in Logic Pro X. I especially love working with kids, though I'm happy to teach anyone who is interested in improving their skills. I'm super excited to teach you either guitar or mixing/mastering, and I hope to see you soon! Blaine Black is a third-year electronic music composer and performer studying electronic music composition at Carnegie Mellon University. Diverging from his path as a classically trained percussionist and rock drummer, he began composing electronic music eight years ago. Using Ableton Live and Max/MSP to design complex sounds, he colors the sound spectrum with powerful rhythms and captivating textures. He is currently working on an album titled Material Neverland that draws influences from dubstep, math rock, hard rock, drum and bass, and noise. Additionally, he is in the process of writing several other remixes and singles to be released. Blaine’s latest audiovisual work “Ugomeki” was recently accepted to both the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival and the International Computer Music Conference in Shenzhen, China. In addition to his work as a composer, Blaine creates interactive software tools for other electronic musicians to incorporate in their creative process.

I have been teaching drum set for many years now, as I have over a decade of experience playing in a variety of styles including classical, jazz, rock, fusion, funk, and latin -- both on drum set and a variety of percussion instruments. I have played in a variety of groups including the UCSB jazz band as well as groups "gigging" around the Ventura and Santa Barbara county area.

I'm a composer, performer, producer, and teacher with more than 20 years of experience. I write music for advertising, movies, and video games. I teach guitar, bass, and music production, and performed workshops and seminars.

I am a trained oboist with a B.M. in Music Performance from the Crane School of Music and over 10 years of performing experience. I have learned to overcome stage-fright and perform with calm determination and can help you do the same. I am also an experienced reed maker, making all of my own reeds from scratch. After 5 years of study and practice, I can provide you with tips and tricks to improve your reeds and give you the sound and tone you want without compromising the feel. In addition to my knowledge of playing the oboe, I am also an audio engineer and highly comfortable with sound equipment and recording and can assist you with achieving the best sound possible in your home recordings.

For high school I went to New World School of the Arts and am now currently living in New York City. I make music full time while attending my final year at Manhattan School of Music.

Welcome to my page! I'm glad to show you what I've learned about music production over the past 15 years. Before booking, please send me a message telling me a little bit about yourself including your musical goals, style, current software, and experience level. Students of all ages and skill levels are welcome, but it will be helpful if you come in with at least a basic understanding of fundamental basic music concepts (i.e. what is a melody). Deep understanding of music theory is not necessary for learning audio production, but is a plus.

I started writing music at the age of eight and studied piano under well-regarded teachers and professors for the past sixteen years, I’ve built up a firm foundation in classical music. My passion for different genres grew as I was introduced to DAW software when I was eleven and started learning production. Joining Peabody Conservatory, I became one of the top students in my year, consistently awarded Dean's List High Honors. I’m currently operating in one of the biggest media groups in China, NewStyle Media Group as a music directing and A&R assistant. From communications with foreign collaborators to actively making decisions on music directions, I quickly became a key member of the teams. More importantly, I was taught how one's character influences the quality of his/her product. Being responsible and diligent makes a better workmate; being kind and compassionate makes a better environment. These are just a few of the many values I try putting into practice.
