Music Production in Logic Pro

This course is designed to introduce students to music production using Apple's Logic Pro software and provide instruction on the range of features offered within the digital audio workstation (DAW).

Students will develop practical abilities for MIDI sequencing and audio editing, gain a fundamental theoretical understanding of MIDI and its integration into modern production practices, amass knowledge, skills, and confidence in the production of MIDI and audio, and learn how to properly arrange, edit, and mix music. Alex Thomen is an Apple Certified Professional in Logic and has taught many university-level courses on music production software. Students are encouraged to bring in their own Logic sessions to receive feedback and instruction regarding composition, recording, production, and mixing. From lo-fi trap to punk rock to cinematic orchestral scoring, all styles of music are encouraged in this course!
