This course is specific to high beginner to high intermediate level players. The student should be able to play major scales in at least two different positions fluently and fluidly. This is because t

his course will begin with the most basic ideas and principles of Jazz Improvisation. It will begin with going over/ learning scales, arpeggios, and chord tone resolutions in many positions while discussing the basic knowledge needed to solo over certain progressions like minor two, dominant five, and major one progressions. I will teach the "nuts and bolts" to jazz improvisation while teaching you how to "survive" a certain progression using the most minimal amount of scales and arpeggios. This course would be great for high school jazz guitarist looking to eventually get into certain universities for jazz guitar, beginner jazz guitar players, and intermediate jazz guitar players with the future intent to gig as a jazz guitarist.
