This course teaches students the essential elements of cello playing and music theory while learning pieces that fit their musical preferences. The private cello lessons are created for beginner, inte

rmediate and advanced students of all ages. Music education, especially one that involves learning a string instrument like the cello, is an excellent example of comprehensive learning. Additionally, learners will explore tone production (more bow pressure vs. heavier arm weight) and learn the fundamentals of right and left-hand techniques for cello playing, developing good body architecture for a great sound. Through satisfactory completion of the lessons, students will: - Be able to perform basic repertoire - Demonstrate proper functional motions of the left hand and fingers - Demonstrate proper functional bow motions of the right hand and arm - Be able to perform with a full, characteristic sound, accurate intonation, accurate rhythm, tonality, and appropriate expression
