7 string Brazilian guitar on samba/choro

The 7-string guitar has been popularizing in Brazil and in the world since 1930, when it originated when there was a demand for an instrument that presented contrapuntal ideas arising mainly from wind

instruments, such as the flute and the clarinet. In this course I cover both the use of basses and inversions incorporating the 7th string in a more rhythmic accompaniment (samba, choro, maxixe, baião, among others) as well as the typical characteristic treatment of the 7-string guitar through the melodic movements and phrases using the 7th string in the form of counterpoint and/or question and answer in relation to the main melody.
