Hi! My name is Angela, and I live in Boston, Massachusetts (USA). I have been teaching piano for many years, both in-person and online. I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts (BA, Music, cumma sum laude). In addition to teaching piano, I am the organist/pianist for one of the historic churches in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I am classically trained (Bach, Mozart, etc.), but am also experienced in pop/rock and musical theatre/show music. In addition to playing piano, I am also a trained vocalist and choir conductor, and often I use singing and solfege in my piano lessons! Besides all things music, I enjoy knitting, traveling all around the world with my husband, and spending time with my pets. I can't wait for us to build connections and help you or your child fulfill your musical goals!

Music has always been a big part of my life. I used to sing in the church choir when I young, and I began learning the clarinet in 5th grade. In 7th grade, I taught myself the trumpet because I wanted to join the jazz band. I also began teaching myself other instruments too, like the saxophone, trombone, piano, guitar, and drums. Midway through high school, I started getting more serious about jazz, and joined a couple of weekly programs in Detroit where I got to play with and learn from top notch jazz musicians. This inspired me to continue to study jazz in college, and that's where I am now! I have all kinds of experience playing with and learning from the biggest names on the local and national jazz scene. I may be young, but I've been teaching in person private lessons for years on trumpet, and many of my former students are also on the road to pursuing music in their future.

My courses are tailored around the student. I will work at your pace and be patient with you. However, if you feel like you are beyond the level of material we are learning, we can move forward to the next lesson.

I am a flute and piccolo player. Have experience in helping students with their music needs I have knowledge of music theory, vocal/choral, clarinet and woodwind instruments. Music is felt and not heard, as I tell all my learners

Hi everybody! I'm Aidan and I'm a Euphonium/Trombone Instructor for Tissimo! I'm really happy to be able to teach Euphonium/Trombone and always excited to be able to teach new or experienced students!

I am a current Undergraduate Student at Concordia University Wisconsin. I have experience in both a concert and marching setting playing the drums. I have had a fascination with drums since I was 10 and have had lessons for piano, mallet percussion, and marching percussion. I specialize in playing the tenor drums, snare drum, bass drum, and timpani. I am a DCI enthusiast and play excerpts from different previously performed shows. I was taught by a former DCI Snare player, having played in Santa Clara Vanguard in the years 88' and 89' (Phantom of the Opera). I have a sharp passion for helping people learn the drums in an advanced way and helping students progress in their journey.

Hi, I am Onur and I am a music educator. I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Guitar Performance from Indiana University with a Jazz-emphasized minor in Music Education. I have taught music for over a decade to all ages and levels. We can work on Solo and Ensemble Classical, Jazz, Rock, Country, or any genre you'd like, Guitar Composition, Jazz transcription as well as Piano, and Ukulele.

Jeremy Makkonen (b. January 28, 1998) is a Michigan based composer, flutist, and educator. Makkonen’s music explores elements of the mystical, the macabre, and the surreal to create an evocative and engaging musical language. Makkonen has recently collaborated with and has had his music performed and read by the musicians of the Jasper String Quartet, NorthStar Duo, HUB New Music, the Khemia Ensemble, and the percussionist Simone Beneventi, and has attended and participated in the 2021 highSCORE Festival, the 2022 Composers Retreat with Dr. Chen Yi, and the 2022 Connecticut Summerfest. He was also previously a winner of the 2019 and 2022 Honors Composition Competition at Michigan State University, both times in the category of chamber music, and a finalist in The Valley Winds International Composition Competition in 2021. Makkonen's primary musical mentors include Alexis Bacon, David Biedenbender, Ricardo Lorenz, Richard Sherman, and Zhou Tian.
