I am a trained oboist with a B.M. in Music Performance from the Crane School of Music and over 10 years of performing experience. I have learned to overcome stage-fright and perform with calm determination and can help you do the same. I am also an experienced reed maker, making all of my own reeds from scratch. After 5 years of study and practice, I can provide you with tips and tricks to improve your reeds and give you the sound and tone you want without compromising the feel. In addition to my knowledge of playing the oboe, I am also an audio engineer and highly comfortable with sound equipment and recording and can assist you with achieving the best sound possible in your home recordings.

Oboist Chanmi Kim was born and raised in Seoul, Korea. As a young girl, she fell in love with classical music and dreamed of being an opera singer. Later, she discovered the vocal qualities of the oboe and began to study in earnest. She has been giving solo recitals since she was fifteen. Recently, she served as Principal Oboist of Mississippi Symphony Orchestra as their 70th season, and invited back to play with them for 2022 season. She has been performing with Missouri Symphony Orchestra since 2017 every summer. She also freelanced with various orchestras including New York Philharmonic, National Chinese Performing Arts Orchestra, Regina Opera Company, and private recording projects. Chanmi is a Principal Oboist of Dubuque Symphony, IA. She completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the New England Conservatory, Masters of Music degree and Professional Studies diploma at Mannes School of Music with Sherry Sylar.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Music and LRAM Teaching Diploma from the Royal Academy of Music in London and a Master of Music from Mannes School of Music in New York City. He has performed in popular concert halls across the globe including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Lincoln Center, Merkin Concert Hall, NJPAC, Discovery Time Square, and Palacio de Festivale in Cantabria among others. He has attended Aspen, Orford and Santander Festivals. He is a passionate teacher and educator for all ages and capabilities.

I am a clarinet player and composer hoping to spread music through my teaching. I value the fundamentals of clarinet playing above all else and hope to strengthen fundamental technique, and understanding of music through the vessel of clarinet playing, or music theory. I want to enable people to explore their artistic desires through music, whether it be composition, songwriting, or performance. Learn to write music that you're interested in, perform music you enjoy playing, or learn musical skills that benefit you the most. My musical skills include: - Clarinet - Music Theory - Ear training/Aural Skills - Composition, Counterpoint, Orchestration, Song writing I love composing music, specifically large ensembles such as instrumental choirs, concert band, or orchestra. I enjoy exploring the colors of the instruments and of the ensembles I write for. I perform clarinet with many groups and love every opportunity I have to share my music with others.

My name is Michael C. Price and I'm from Memphis located in Tennessee. I have a deep passion for music and spreading the love and joy of it with as many people as possible. I graduated high school in 2019 from THE Memphis Central High School where I first got exposure to jazz. At the moment I am in the process of obtaining my bachelors degree in Jazz Saxophone performance with a minor in Composition. I have a strong understanding of the alto saxophone and various ways to get past road blocks in students at various levels of playing. My goal as an instructor is to unlock the potential that s inside of each individual and push the limits of the performer a higher level.

Matt is a former band director of 8 years who is still enchanted by music and the magic of the ocarina! Originally a percussionist, he bought an ocarina for his wife's birthday in September of 2021. A dreaded "Amazon" Legend of Zelda replica...oof. Despite this, he really enjoyed stealing it from his wife Sammie and playing on it for hours. Less than a week later, he decided to purchase a well-tuned ocarina and he's been playing daily ever since! Matt is an active content creator on TikTok (@ocarina.hype/Matt Hopwood - Ocarina) and is steadily branching out into other social media platforms. He is a member of Silver Wind Ocarina, studies ocarina under the tutelage of Cris Gale, and was a featured performer at Ocarina Fest 2022. His favorite things about the ocarina: It is a very intuitive wind instrument, allowing the musician to be very musically expressive and produces a lovely, pure tone.

My major instrument is trumpet but, I was also employed as a substitute teacher and taught in the public school system which gave me the opportunity to not only conduct orchestras consisting of violins, violas, cellos and basses as well as concert bands and stage bands but also to coach individual students on a large variety of instruments when necessary. I have taught private lessons to students of all ages on most instruments as well as in solfege and jazz theory and continue to do so today. I greatly enjoy teaching beginner/intermediate students but, I also love teaching more accomplished students who are interested in applying jazz theory to enhance their ability through improvisation and song writing. I have written a 125 page book which encompasses most of the important information gained from the years spent at music colleges with respect to jazz theory, improvisation and song writing. I am familiar with Finale Notation, Cakewalk Recording & Band In A Box Software.

I earned dual-BM degrees in both Saxophone Performance and Composition from Western Michigan University. I specialize primarily in the performance, production, and promotion of new music. As a composer, I have worked with various ensembles, including: Nois Saxophone Quartet, So Percussion, Spectral Quartet, Splinter Reeds, the Hinge Ensemble, Kestrel Duo, the Azu Saxophone Quartet, and the The Western Illinois University Saxophone Quartet, among others. I have been a a finalist in the 2022 ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composers Competition and was selected for the Score Follower Spring 21 Call for Scores, among other honors.
